Bijapur city, a cultural hub, is an intense potpourri of cultural heritage dating back to times immemorial. This city is a delicate and subtle blend of splendour, wisdom and artistry. This truly reflects the magnificence of human mind. It encompasses a glittering array of monuments and splendid revivification of past glory lost in the pages of time.

Bijapur has a well knit community with a population of around 500,000. Golgumbaz is truly the most splendid of all monuments and is considered to be world’s second largest dome. MALLIK MAIDAN, IBRAHIM ROZA, BARA KAMAN, SANGEET MAHAL and GAGAN MAHAL, are a few more monuments reflecting the aristocratic achievements of Adil Shahi dynasty

Embellished around the city are pageants of historical culture-Aihole, Pattadkal and Badami caves, are alluring and captivating beauty, and reflecting peace and tranquillity. KODALASANGAMA and ALMATTI DAM are other places worth visiting.

Coming to our emphatic achievements, in the recent past we had organized DECOCON Ophthalmic conference, KOS meetings which were a brilliant success. With this radiant background we expect a contumacious participation by all member delegates with family. We request you to take active participation.

Bijapur city is well connected by both rail and road. Solapur city is just 90 kms from here. Belgaum and Hubli, 200 kms away, have well connected domestic airports. We have adequate number of hotels and guest houses to provide you a comfortable stay, at an affordable cost
